The Jungle Book

Last weekend I went to see the Jungle Book.



Wow.



It was SO good! I was impressed! Just sitting there watching it was a gift.



Lately I have been... ambivalent at best about the amount of Disney live action remakes that have been coming out. Each one that graces my presence I doubt... but so far Disney has held up. I really hope that this pattern continues through to Beauty and the Beast. COMMON EMMA WATSON!



Anyways, back to the Jungle Book. This movie was beautiful and wonderful with just enough nods to its previous animated predecessor while not being too overly cliche. You get a taste here and there of the songs that you so love but it doesn't turn the live action into an overly corny sight with full renditions.



King Louie is terrifying. Baloo is endearing. Bagheera is level headed and wise. Shere Kahn is just as scary as you would expect. Mowgli is endearing.



Loved it. GO SEE IT NOW!

A little about me...

Before I begin I thought it would be useful to know a little bit about me.

This is me... doing what I do best a lot of the time... napping. I grew up in Chicago which was fabulous. After that I went to UW for undergrad and then stayed in Madison for a good many years. Life called and me and my husband moved to Atlanta, GA. That was also a fabulous 3 year experience. Currently we just arrived in the sunny state of California!

We've bounced around a lot but we really have enjoyed all the places we've lived. I feel like each place leaves little bits and pieces that stick to you throughout time. So what did we pick up? 

Well... growing up in Chicago it was definitely city life!

Wisconsin... hello cheese, beer, brats, and Packers!

Atlanta... you've got to love the bbq, some sweet tea... and the slower life... bless your heart.

Now we are in California absorbing all the new experiences. I can already tell I am going to be spoiled by the weather! Wow! Beautiful! So many places to see!

I have a cat named Lilly and she is my other half. Ever heard of a familiar? Yes... she is mine. She also has her own blog, twitter, and instagram!

I love all things books, cats, and Disney. I live for pizza.

Why must it be so delicious?!

You can often find me cruising around with windows down in my VW bug. I love my lil Bug but it is getting old. Poor thing. It stresses out the hubby... and me.

I read, I write, I Netflix like a boss, and I am a kick ass MK beauty consultant. MAKEUP! It's a slight obsession. So that is me. :) Welcome!

Hello world! Lately whenever I say Hello I automatically go into my own rendition of Adele's song... hello... it's me... I've been searching for a blog where I can write about my dreams... Lol, wonderful, right? So at the moment I am not exactly sure what this blog is going to branch out to. I just want somewhere central to write if I feel the need to write. So here I am!
